If your child is anything like mine, he/she gets REALLY excited about cool experiments…esp ones that erupt!!ย And it doesn’t get much cooler than an ice volcano!!!

Ice volcanoes are easy to make and a fun science and play activity for kids of any age.

I didn’t come up with this experiment, but I think it is super-cool!! You mix baking soda and water, add some food coloring and then pour it over this:

Wait impatiently for it to freeze…and then take it out of the freezer, pull ย the golf ball out and the plastic wrap off and take it outside. Squirt a little vinegar into your ice volcano and watch it erupt!!

My son and I did the first steps of this experiment this morning before I started working. Our volcanoes are in the freezer as we speak…wonder how they’ll come out?!?! I’ll let you know ๐Ÿ™‚
