I love Fall, it’s my favorite season!! The chill in the air, the leaves turning beautiful colors, wearing scarves, and all the fun Fall holidays and activities…what’s not to love?!?!

One of our family traditions is to visit a pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins for carving. (We also do super-fun pumpkin carvings every year…but that’s a post for another day.) We have been to some awesome pumpkin patches that have hay rides, playgrounds, petting zoos, corn mazes, kid-size ziplines, or even pumpkin launchers.

This year we went to Independence, Kansas to the ‘Indy Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze’ and it was so much fun!

Pumpkin Patch3

They had a couple of bouncy houses, a small concession stand, a setting for getting your picture taken, a corn maze and a pumpkin patch.

Jadon had a little fun bouncing and sliding, we got some popcorn and then took off into the corn maze. They had around 4 miles of walkways and even some hidden signs! If you found all six hidden signs and took pics with your phone for proof, they’d let you pick out a free pumpkin.

We had an excellent time hunting for the signs, which I thought added an extra dose of fun to the maze. Everybody else seemed to think so too, every child we ran into told us about the last sign they had seen ( and Jadon was doing the same!).

After the maze, we went to pick out our pumpkins. Jadon picked out his free one and Brant picked one for us to carve (Jadon’s is on the left, Brant’s on the right).

Pumpkin Patch7

And I found this odd shaped one…I’m all about the odd shapes and the crazy stems!

Pumpkin Patch2

And my favorite pumpkin of the day was the teeny tiniest pumpkin I have ever seen…

Pumpkin Patch6

Isn’t it adorable?!?!

And that was our fun Fall activity for the weekend. Did you do anything fun?? Tell me about it!
