Happy Monday Friends!

How was your weekend? I hope you were showered with love and are enjoying a day off for President’s Day today. But even if you’re stuck at your desk today, we’ve got anther Meet The Team Monday to help pass some time!

Today I’m introducing you to one of Kim’s adorable interns, Abby. Seriously, doesn’t she just look sweet as sugar?

Abby was in a fabric design class at ISU when her teacher connected her to the Kim and I Bambini Clothing.Β  She’s been helping Kim with design work and learning the ins and outs of the business.Β  Oh, and having a great time too!

Anyways, I’ll let Abby take over from here so we can all get to know her a little bit.

Where do you live and how long have you been there?

I currently live in Ames, IA as I finish up my college career but I will soon be moving to Columbus, OH to live the dream and pursue a full time design job!

Tell me a little about yourself:

I’m 21 and a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority here at Iowa State. I love to do yoga in my free time or read books over and over. I also have a funny habit of listening to Disney movies while I’m designing, it makes for such good white noise!

What’s your favorite book?

Easily tied between Pride and Prejudice or the entire Harry Potter series. Oldies but goodies.

What’s your favorite Disney character?

Belle, I always thought the library scene was magic as a kid, I still think if a man gave me a library that size I would melt into a puddle of happiness:)

It’s vacation time, where are you going? Mountains, Beach, Desert, Lake?

Tough choice! I love skiing so the mountains call fairly often but I’m definitly a fan of just travel for the sake of traveling. I lived in Europe (Italy) for 5 months and traveled every weekend and there’s something to be said for going somewhere you don’t speak the language every once in a while!

What would your dream job be?

Oh boy, probably if I could have my own studio in a big barn in my backyard. Filled with all my art/sewing supplies and I could just make things that people would automatically love and want to buy. No agenda just whatever took my fancy that day. Guess I’ll have to win the lottery huh? πŸ˜‰

What 3 items are you taking to a deserted island?

I’m a bit of a realist… A kayak, water filter and something sharp!Β  haha!

What’s one guilty pleasure you just can’t give up?

My shoes! I can’t tell you how much I love a good pair of leather boots. Nothing like it, heels are pretty but boots… Boots are always comfy.

What’s your favorite desert?

Cheesecake with raspberry topping from a bakery in Florence or in lieu of that, my mother’s chocolate. She’s been a chocolatier my whole life, it’s passed down by the women on her side, and nothing beats those chocolates they are to die for!
