Sensory Saturday: Christmas Sensory Bags
It’s another Sensory Saturday, and a simple one at that! We decided to do another round of sensory bags, but this time with a Christmas theme. There are so many possibilities with this one (I was thinking pine needles would look super cool but we didn’t get any for this time). Here are all the materials we used for our bags.
The bags we choose this time were a little thinner than the last time we did this activity so I made sure to double bag so that we could avoid holes and leakage. We added the snow (which could also be replaced with whipped cream though I am sure fake snow is much cheaper, and less tempting to eat π ), then mini ornaments, then food coloring and glitter for a little extra pizzazz. We taped up the top and then the kids were able to play away!
These were totally a different feel than any of the other bags we have made which I thought was great. A lot less squish factor but still pretty cool.
We may actually try to do a snowman sensory bag soon with similar ingredients. Stay tuned!
What Christmas sensory bag ideas do you have? Have you tried them? Let us see them if you find any success with them (or even if you don’t!).
Until next time…
Much love,
<3 Jamie
