Sensory Saturday: Toy Carwash
Although the weather is getting nicer out (finally!), we are still having some chilly days. While I dream about summer days and being outside, I am also getting into spring-cleaning mode. I am frequently considering how to get the kids involved in those tasks that don’t seem so fun but they can make fun. So, we set up a toy carwash that they could soap up their toys, wash them off, then dry them off. I don’t know what it is, but water always draws them in and gets them engaged. Plus, we did it in the kitchen and now my floor is nice and clean! π
All you need is a container to hold some soap (I used the kids’ body wash with some warm water), a container to hold water, and some towels. Easy peasy, right??
Here they are washing their most used cars and trucks (score for washing off germs!).
So fun, so easy, and has cleaning power! This is definitely an activity we will revisit and I can’t wait to do something like this outdoors in the summer!
Have you done a similar activity with your kids? How did it go?
Much love,
